1953 KAISER DELUX

1953 KAISER DELUX

This is a rare old car. You just do not see these cars around and you for sure do not pass yourself on the road while driving it.

This is 1 of only 255 manufactured, and there is only 22 registered with the Kaiser Club. It is a 6 cylinder with a 3 speed on the column. It does run and drive but it has been a few months since it has been started and driven. There is some rust issues as a lot of these Kaiser’s have, but it comes with new inner and outer Rocker panels. It has had a new fuel pump, Clutch and Pressure plate and throw out bearing along with transmission seals and mounts installed in the past and has not been drove very much since these were installed. At the same time the fuel tank was cleaned out and the radiator was cored and repaired. It does come with a  clean TN title.

If you are looking for a rare classic car to get in at a very reasonable price then you need to think about purchasing this one. At only $2,500 how can you go wrong……you can have more fun than that just tinkering with it as a project.

1941 Dodge Power Wagon Wrecker

Here is a cool old piece of history. It is a 1941 Dodge Power Wagon wrecker. This is the first year of the Power Wagon.  It is pretty much all original, of course the wrecker bed was put on it , and I am sure it was one heck of a work truck.  It does run and drive with its 6 cylinder engine and its standard transmission.

This old girl is just super cool and gets unbelievable amount attention. I get ask to take it to parades, car shows, and just regular community events. It resided most of its life in southern KY, and locally here in Tn, it has become known as “TATER” from Nameless Tn. And YES……Nameless Tn is a real place.

This is a absolutely beautiful 1958 Chevrolet Impala Convertible. It is a older restoration, that has been stored inside and still retains its beautiful appearance.  As you probably already know if you are reading this ad that the 1958 Chevrolet Impala Convertible is very sought after car, and as some reports go the most desirable of all the 50’s era of automobiles. Here is your chance to to buy one that is very much a show car or just a high end cruiser that can be a great investment that you and your family can enjoy for years to come.

The exterior of this beautiful 1958 Chevrolet Impala Convertible looks great. It is not perfect as it has been a older restoration, but it defiantly does not show its age. The paint is still very slick and has a very deep shine to it. The body is good and solid and shows off the paint very well. All of the chrome is in very good condition and presents itself very good for the car. All of the body panels line up good and doors and hoods close and open as they should. The underside of this car looks very good and appears to have been replaced in the past.  It is painted in a black paint and is all metal with nothing obstructing the view of all the solid body panels under neath this Classic. Overall this body appears to be in very good and solid condition and doesn’t have the appearance of anything  being hidden as the paint is every bit of 10 years or more on this beautiful car.

The interior of this beautiful 1958 Chevrolet Impala Convertible looks and is in very good condition. Again it is not perfect as it is a older restoration, but it does not show the age either. The interior looks absolutely great. It does not have any rips or tears anywhere in the interior. There is a small wrinkle/blemish on the bottom of the drivers side seat cushion.  Other than this small thing the interior looks great. This Impala has power windows and they all work good. All of the glass and glass frames are in good condition. The white convertible top looks very good and is in good condition with no ripping or tearing. The power top works as it should coming up and down with no problems at a push of a button. The gauges all work good with the exception of the speedometer. The speedometer seams to have a mind of its own, It will work sometimes and then other times it goes on vacation. It has never bothered me but I wanted to mention it so that you get the whole story. Over all the interior looks and is in very good condition.

 

The drivetrain on the awesome 1958 Chevrolet Impala Convertible is ready to go cruising or do as it has been done in the past and park it inside to show it off. The engine is 348ci with a tri power carburetor set up on her. It has a  turbo automatic transmission so you can get out there and cruise with the top down. It also has a power rack and pinion steering on it to make for a better drive. I have personally driven this car in several parades and it has done great with no problems what so ever. overall this car runs and drives out great.

 

 

This is a beautiful 1958 Chevrolet Impala Convertible that still retains its originality but has had a few upgrades to make it more enjoyable to drive. This is a very good little car. It is mostly all original and has just been maintained throughout its lifetime. It runs and drives out very good. It will start right up every time and drop her in gear and she is ready to hit the road. This would make a very nice summer time cruiser. And when you pull up somewhere you always get a thumbs up and lots of looks just for the fact you dont see these cars as often as you do some of the other classic cars. This car has spent its entire life in Tennessee.

It has had a repaint several years back and the paint still looks good and has a very nice shine to it.  It was not a high dollar repaint, but suites this car fine. The  body looks very good and appears to be solid.  The chrome is all original and is still in good shape for a driver.  All the doors and deck lids open and shut as they should.  Just a good original cruiser.

The interior is pretty much the original to this car. It looks good  for the most part but does have a few blemishes. The drivers seat has a couple small tears that will show in the pictures. Overall the interior is in pretty good shape to be the original interior and to be  over 50 years  old.  All of the windows work as they should.  The interior lights work as does all of the exterior lights. The radio and gauges appear to all be in working order with the exception of the fuel gauge and it just recently stopped working.  Again , just  great shape for an original  classic car.

The 225 cid engine starts and sounds great. The automatic transmission goes into gear and shifts out great. It has manual brakes that stop the car as they should.

This is just an absolute cool car to cruise around town in and strike up conversation every where you go. It is overall good condition, but still could use a little tinkering with to be made a show piece. You just do not find many of these Barracudas that are still in this type of condition.

1956 Studebaker Golden Hawk

A little history of this !956 Studebaker before we get to the details. It was purchased new by Ms Nally in Youngstown Ohio in June of 1956 for the purchase price totaling $4,163. The car was In her name untill her death  in 1966. It was then transfered to her nephew Mr Lerner. During this time the car set outside and not driven very much at all. Mr Lerner sold the car to Mr Borger in 1984 and the car moved to New Castle Pa. At this time Mr Don Borger restored the Studebaker back to it current and original condition.  From that point up untill 2012 it spent its day and nights being shown in Museams and a few car shows, wher it won multiple trophies.

The Studebaker Golden Hawk is a two door pillarles hardtop coupe type car produced by Studebaker Corporation of South Bend Indiana between 1956 and 1958. These were the last Studebakers untill the Avanti to have the styling influenced by industrial designer Raymond Loewy’s Studeo. The Golden Hawk took the basic shape of the 1953-55 Champion/Commander Starliner hardtop coupe, but added a large , almost vertical eggcrate grill and raised hood line in place of the earlier swooping pointed nose. At the rear, a raised and squared off trunklid replaced the earlier sloped lid, and vertical fiberglass tailfins were added to the rear quarters. The Golden Hawk was two inches shorter than the standard Hawk at 53.6 inches.

The raisde hood and grill were added to allow space for a larger engine, Packards big 352in V8, which delivered 275 hp. This big powerful engine in such a light car gave the Golden Hawk a phenomenal power-to-weight ratio and performance at the time of production. Of the 1956 American production cars the Golden Hawk was was second to only to Chrysler’s 300 B by that measure and the expensive Chrysler was a road legal Nascar race car. The Golden Hawk can be considered a precursor to the muscle cars of the 1960s The big engine gave the car an unfounded reputation for being nose heavy and poor handling, although the road test at the time , many of which were conducted by race ing drivers, seldom ever mentioned any handling issues. Speed Age Magizine July 1956 tested the Golden Hawk against the Chrysler 300B, Ford Thunderbird, and Chevrolet Covette finding that the Golden Hawk could out-preform the others comfortably in both 0-60 and the quarter mile times. The fastest 0-60 reported in magazine testing was 7.8 seconds, while top speeds were quoted at 125 mph plus. A wide variety of colors, includeing two tones, were available. Two tone schemes initially involved the front upper body, the roof and a panel on the tail being painted the contrastcolor, with the rest of the body as the base color. Later 1956 production had the upper body above the belt line, including the trunk, as the contrest color with the tail panel, roof and the body below the belt line trim being the base color. The interior included an engine turned dash. An increased options lists and reduced standard equipment were used to keep prices down compared to previous years Studebaker President Speedster, which the Golden Hawk replaced. Even turn signals were technically an option. The Golden Hawk was matched with three other Hawk models for 1956, and was the only Hawk not technically considered a sub-model within one of Studebakers regular passenger car lines.

This fine example was restored by a noted Studebaker Expert (Don Borger) roughly 25 years ago. It has been show widely and won many Best of Show Awards, and then even lived in museums including the Studebaker Museum in South Bend, befor being purchased and re-commisioned to be enjoyed. The car has only covered about 700 miles since the restoration and has 52,796 original miles on it.  The restoration has held up very well and the  only flaws noted today are a couple very small hairline cracks on the steering wheel and a very minor scratch on the drivers window. The paint looks as if was done last year and the rest of this car is in the same condition.  This car still retains its original leather interior and is in great condition.

This car runs and drives without fault and everything works in this car. Electric power Sterring was added to make it more comfortable driving.

 

This is One of only 286 units produced in this Tangurine color and it is only 1 of 4 known to remain…….

This is 1961 Buick LeSabre is a real head turner.  This car has the look that it drove right out of the 60’s.  It is sitting nice and low with its white wall tires and Cragers. You just can not beat the look of this rare drop top Buick.

 

The exterior appears to be nice, solid and straight. The paint is very nice and has a good shiny appearance. There are a few small and insignificant wear marks from where the Buick has been driven and enjoyed, but overall the body is straight and paint is good.  The chrome on this LeSabre is in very good condition and shines very bright. All of the glass on her is in good condition and work as the should. The power convertible top is in very good condition and goes up and down nice and smooth.

The interior is in good condition and presents itself very well. The white vinyl interior is nice and clean and sets this car off. There is only one small wear spot that I have found and it is on the front drivers seat rope. Nothing major and not very noticeable. The carpet is in good condition. The dash is in very good condition. It has the mirroromatic speedometer that works as it should. It also has the speed warning buzzer that also still in working order.  The interiors of these cars are just amazing and a pleasure to drive in.

The drive train on this Buick runs and sounds great. It is powered by its 364 ci V8 Nailhead enging with a tri power intake and its automatic transmission. This car runs and drives out great and is a pleasure to drive. The engine compartment is finished out very nice and complements the  rest of the car.

 

Overall this is a great car to cruise and enjoy. It is a rare old car that you just don’t see  or pass going down the road. You do not find these cars  often, so don’t let a beauty like this get away. Here is a chance to be the stand out of the town!

1968 FORD MUSTANG GT 390

1968 FORD MUSTANG GT S code 390ci.

 

This is a very nice and solid 1968 Ford Mustang GT 390 BBF that has not been on the market before.

It was ordered on August 7, 1967. It was built December 8, 1967 at Metuchen. It is a 1968 Ford Mustang that came equipped with the GT equipment group, a console, power disk brakes, power steering, AM/8 track stereo system, F70X14 white oval white sidewall nylon tires, Chrome styled GT wheels, 390-4v V8 engine, Highland Green paint, Saddle vinyl bucket seats and a C-6 automatic transmission. All of this and more is verified by the Marti Report.

This is believed to be a two owner car and the original owner changed the original C6 automatic out and installed the 4 speed manual transmission back while the car was new. It appears as it came original with the 4 speed so it was done very nice back when all the parts was readily available (according to second owner it was done at the Ford dealership when car was purchased new). It does not have its original radio and the original tires are also long gone.  The second owner changed the rear end chunk for a better road gear but I do have the original for the car. The second owner also had the interior redone and had it painted. So it does have 1 repaint. The second owner maintained this car very well and it has never been restored but always maintained.

This Mustang GT has a very solid body on her. The frame rails, shock towers and torque boxes as well as the rest of the underside is in very good condition. The paint is within a few years old and is very good condition. The only noticeable flaw in the paint is on both sides above the rear quarters next to rear side glass. These flaws will not show in pictures. Other than that the paint is very good and shines and presents the car very well. All of the chrome and stainless is also in very good condition. The original GT wheels are in good condition.

The car starts and drives absolutely great. Its 390 V8 engine and the 4 speed manual transmission makes this little car a screamer. The engine sounds good as does the duel exhaust. The 4 speed transmission shifts out great and this car is fun and a  pleasure to drive.

The interior is in like new condition and looks very good. All of the window glass is in good condition and all of the side windows operate as they should. I have found that everything operates as it should and this Mustang GT is just a great little car.

Here is the story as it was told to me from the second owner which bought the Mustang from the original owner. He purchased this car from the gentleman  who bought the car new from Jennings Ford in NJ.  The original owner decided early on that he wanted a 4 speed instead of the automatic, so he had it changed(by the Ford Dealership) . When the second owner purchased the car he could have purchased the original transmission but at that time he did not feel that it was worth it so he passed. Remember this was before these GT Mustangs became such a sought after car as they are now. The second owner bought this car some 14 years ago. It has never been anyone’s daily driver but just a pleasure toy.

 

This is a very nice, clean and solid 1968 Mustang GT S code that isn’t the only one left but you don’t meet another coming down the road to often.

This is a very nice 1955 Chevrolet Bel-Air 2dr post car. It has had a frame on restoration done on it a few years back and has not saw much drive time in the last 3 years.  It runs and drives out great. The engine starts and sounds great, and the transmission also shifts out great. The car is a pleasure to drive and runs down the road great.

The Exterior: The body is nice and solid and had new floor pans and trunk pan installed during its restoration.  So the underside is nice and solid and looks good. The paint is very nice and also shines very good. It is painted in a two tone blue and orange format that almost resembles the old GULF colors. It does have a few small flaws here and there but nothing that takes away from the paint.   All of the stainless and chrome is in good or like new condition and presents itself very good. The doors and windows all function as expected and are in good to like new condition. The front windshield does have some minor flaws.  The headlights, tail lights, and turn signals all function properly.  Pictures will speak for themselves on the cars condition.

 

The Interior: The interior is in very good condition with little to no wear showing on it.  The front and rear seats are in like new condition. The headliner is in like new condition. The carpet is also in like new condition. All of the windows roll up good and easy. All of the gauges seem to function properly including the fuel gauge.  The dash is nice and looks very good and still retains its original radio.  It has a new steering column with tilt wheel. The interior is very comfortable and has had seat belts added to the front seats. The pictures should detail the interior area very well.

 

The Drive Train:  The car is powered by a 350ci engine that runs and sounds very good. It  breathes through headers and duel exhaust that runs mid way back with turn downs.  It is connected to a automatic transmission that run and shifts out very good. The transmission is connected to what appears to be the original rear end. All of the drive train works well together and lets this car drive down the road great. The front end has the heavy no-mad springs and sits just a little taller than normal.  This car has had a new wiring harness installed during the restoration process. It also has had power brakes (disk on front and drum on rear) and power steering added during the restoration.  It has a set of alloy wheels with very good set of raised white lettered tires. The engine compartment is dressed very nice with aluminum intake, valve covers and air cleaner. The engine compartment is also painted to match the car.
